Manitoba Wolves FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about the MB Wolves!
What makes the Wolves program different from my local hockey association?
Our focus is development-first. We offer high-level coaching, small group skill sessions, and modern tools like video analysis — not just games. Players don’t get lost in the shuffle here. Every session has purpose, and every athlete gets the attention they need to grow.
This is a quality program built to deliver real results — on and off the ice.
Is this the right year to make a jump to a program like this?
100%. U15 is a key year for growth and for many, it’s your WHL Draft year. You only get one shot at this age — now’s the time to train in an environment that actually prepares you.
What is the Premier Hockey League (PHL)?
The PHL is a showcase-style league designed for exposure and elite-level competition — not your typical Manitoba league. With over 100 teams from U9 to U18, it brings together top talent from across Western Canada.
This season, the Manitoba Wolves will compete in the U15 Major Division, facing 20 well-matched teams from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia over 6 showcase weekends, plus a playoff finale.
How often do we play and practice?
We practice every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday on non-showcase weeks, with optional Thursday morning skill sessions through WCHA High School.
The season includes 24 games over 6 showcase weekends, plus a playoff weekend to close.
The first showcase runs October 17–19 at J&G Homes Arena.
What are the team fees and what do they cover?
The team fees include:
Jerseys + gloves + pant shells
Practices + skills sessions
Games + travel
