Grade 9 at the wcha
We are thrilled to announce that WCHA will be launching a Grade 9 program for the 2026–2027 school year, providing student-athletes with the opportunity to grow academically and athletically in a supportive, high-performance environment.
Instructed by Jonathan Filewich, the program allows students to earn eight Grade 9 high school credits, with Physical Education completed through on-ice training.
Students can choose from two athletic options:
- Full hockey program with daily on-ice training
- Hybrid Hockey + Golf option in partnership with Evo Golf, which includes two hockey sessions and two golf sessions per week
The program runs on a four-day schedule, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays dedicated to study hall.
Our comprehensive academic curriculum includes the core subjects:

- Science
- Social Studies
- Business
- Hockey IQ
