Dan Averill

Dan Averil joins us as the new on-ice goalie development coach, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record in goaltending excellence. As the former owner and head instructor of Westman Elite Goaltending, Dan has dedicated the past several years to developing top-tier goalies in the Westman area. Notably, his mentorship contributed to the success of Trent Minor, who was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche. Dan’s 15 years of coaching experience reflect his deep commitment to nurturing and refining goaltending talent.

Selected to participate in the Hockey Canada Development Program, Dan’s expertise is recognized at the highest levels of the sport. His extensive background in coaching, combined with his passion for developing young athletes, makes him an invaluable asset to our coaching team. With Dan’s guidance, aspiring goalies will benefit from his seasoned approach and comprehensive understanding of goaltending, paving the way for their future success on the ice.
