Elite Goalie Training Program (8 Week Summer Program)

Open to Goalies Only

Program Breakdown:

10 X 1 on 2 sessions with a WCHA Goalie Coach

Available Monday to Thursday.

One session per week for 8 weeks.

7 X Tactical Game Situation Sessions 1 session per week focused on game scenarios that will force the goalie to read and react to situations. These sessions will have WCHA Goalie Coaches and WCHA shooters to maximize individual development. Each Tactical session will consist of only 6 goalies on the ice. These sessions will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The groups will be created based on goalies age and skill to create a competitive atmosphere among the group to push each goalie to be the best they can be. Each group will be assigned a night of the week for their Tactical session.

6 X Position Specific Movement, Puck Handling, Edge Control Sessions 1 session per week on Mondays that focus on improving the foundation of goaltending. These sessions are focused on improving each goalies skating, puck handling, movement, and fitness level. These sessions will be all goalies combined. The program will run 4 days per week, from Monday, July 3rd until Thursday, August 24th, 2023. The weekly schedule will be as follows:

• Mondays 5:00 – 6:00 pm – All Goalies (There is no session on August 7th – Terry Fox Day)
• Tuesdays 5:00 – 6:15 pm – Tactical work with group 1
• Wednesdays 5:00 – 6:15 pm – Tactical work with group 2
• Wednesdays 6:15 – 7:30 pm Tactical work with group 3
• Thursdays 5:00 – 6:15 pm – Tactical work with group 4

One 1v2 Mini Rink Session Per week time TBD each week

Each Goalie will receive one on-ice session with a JR Elite Group each week throughout the summer. (U15, U18 or Junior)
