On Ice Daily 3 pm to 4 pm

Off Ice Daily 4 pm to 5 pm

Players will receive instruction on:

The purpose of body contact

Proper body position and balance for contact

Puck protection skills

Giving a check

Receiving a check

Receiving a check along the boards

Spinning off a check

Use the “Hit first and reverse hit” techniques

Cutting off the hands

1-on-1 techniques

Containing and pinning your opponent

This is a great introduction for any player who is playing contact next winter, or for any player wishing to improve their comfort level and confidence in body contact. Each day will consist of one 50-minute on-ice session and one 60-minute off-ice session.
