Mark Derlago was born in Brandon, and spent his childhood playing minor hockey in the city. After playing three years with the Brandon Wheat Kings, Derlago’s professional career took him from North America to Germany, South Korea, Denmark, Japan, and England, before retiring from playing in 2019. After moving back to Brandon, Derlago returned to the Wheat Kings, transitioning to a position behind the bench as an Assistant Coach. He gives back to the community, working with Brandon Minor Hockey in skill development, and spends time on the ice with local players to develop the next generation of players in Manitoba. Derlago currently lives in Brandon with his wife, Jenna, and their kids, Emery (6), and Finn (3).
